ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Eligibility Criteria (for admission to FYJC Class):

Students who have passed the SSC Examination or it's equivalent examination from Maharashtra Board or any other board recognised by the Government are eligible to apply for admission.

Admission to FYJC Class is through an online processs implemented by the Deputy Director's Office of the Government of Maharashtra. Applicants are requested to read the newspapers for information and procedure.

Details about the same will be made available as and when instructions are received from the Government of Maharashtra (usually following the declaration of SSC results) .:

Documents to be submitted by students who have passed SSC Examination from maharashtra State Boards at the time of admission are: .

Admission form duly completed

Original Mark sheet + 2 attested photocopies

One photocopy of the first and the last page of Ration Card.

Three Copies of recent photograph for the identity card

Fees have to be paid at the day of admission itself.

Students who have passed Std. X examination from the boards other than Maharashtra Board and who are admitted to the FYJC class in this college should submit the following documents for confirmation of their admission.

Eligibility Certificate along with the deed of undertaking on a stamp paper of 100 Rs duly signed by the Guardian / Local Guardian and the student.

The bank application forms for obtaining Eligibility Certificate is available at the office of the The Divisional Secretary, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Mumbai Divisional Board, Plot No. 27 and 28, Sector 16 A, Vashi, Navi Mumbai: 400 703.

These documents are sent to the Divisional Secretary H.S.C. for confirmation of their eligibility.

Provisional Admission will be given on the basis of the undertaking from the guardian and the student that the Eligibility Form will be submitted within 7 days along with the following documents: .

Original Migration Certificates.

Foreign Students should complete Appendix "A".

Original Passing Certificate.

Original School Leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate.

Deed of undertaking on stamp paper of Rs 20 charges for Eligibility Certificate (payable in cash) : (Rs 300 for Indian Students) (Rs 500 for Foreign Students).

Photocopies should be attested by original signature and not rubber stamp.

Students are advised in their own interest, that before submitting certificates, mark sheets and other documents in the original to the college office, they should retain true copies of the documents with themselves.

The original School Leaving Certificate / Transference Certificate will be kept by the college permanently and under no circumstances will it be given back to the students.

Hence, students should keep sufficient number of photocopies of School Leaving Certificate / Transference Certificate with them.

Admission to first year in junior college (FYJC - Std. XI) is offered following the declaration of results of SSC examination by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. the admissions are given strictly as per the directions issued by the Department of Education, Government of Maharashtra from time to time.

The candidates who have passed the SSC examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education oe an examination regarded as equivalent by the State Board are eligible for admission to FYJC class.

The original School Leaving Certificate / Transference Certificate will be kept by the college permanently and under no circumstances will it be given back to the students.

Students who have passed the equivalent examination as mentioned above will have to procure a provisional eligibility certificate issued by The Divisional Secretary, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.

The eligible candidates have to apply in the prescribed form made available after the declaration of SSC Result.

The schedule of admission as prescribed by the Deputy Director (Education), Department of Education, Government of Maharashtra will be strictly followed.

Students passing Std. X from CBSE and ICSE Boards will be considered at par with those who have passed the SSC Examination of the State Board.

There will be two unit exams carrying 50 marks each in the middle of each term and two terminal examinations of 100 marks each towards the end of each term in every subject.

The average of the marks scored out of 300/3 in each subject will be the final score made by a student in that subject .

The student will pass FYJC examination if he/she scored a minimum average score of 35 in each subject.
